The story behind Dreaming Wide Awake

The title might give it away, because the song is an imaginative road trip where I am daydreaming about the days ahead of a somewhat romantic idealistic world where I feel free.

I wrote the song together with musician and friend Leif de Leeuw and was again produced by JB Meijers.

In the chorus you might here a reference to the song "Go your own way" from Fleetwood Mac. As you might know I am a huge fan of their music and that phrase just says it all for me. "Do your own thing, find your most true self".

Dreaming Wide Awake is actually also a part of an entire EP that is called "Dreaming Wide Awake" but I like to keep things exciting. So I'm keeping the rest of the EP for next week ;)
